If you are here, you are likely tired in a particular way. The tiredness that comes from caring about something deeply and not knowing whether you're ever doing enough or doing it well.
Maybe your children are at school but you feel like something's missing. Maybe it's the worksheets your child brings from school you can't quite figure out or the homework neither of you understands or maybe the bedtime story that didn't happen again because everyone was too tired.
Or maybe you're already homeschooling your children but feel isolated from other parents who get to meet other parents on the school run and never being able to share some of the highs and lows of what you do.
Either way, this is for you.
A new way of learning, rooted in Charlotte Mason and adapted honestly for modern family life. The curriculum, the parent training and a community of other families bonding through books. We're officially opening the doors in August for the new school year and we hope to see you soon!

why we built this -
A new way of learning, adapted
for modern life.
Most parents we meet have noticed the same things.
They just haven't said them out loud so we will.
1.
Bonding feels like the leftover
The school day is long. The working day is longer. The hour between dinner and bedtime is meant to be where parents and children connect but instead it's become time for worksheets, arguments and disappointment. We think most of us refuse to accept what's happening but bonding should be the goal rather than something something extra if we have the time.

Worksheets don't teach comprehension
Children can complete a worksheet without actually understanding what they read. Charlotte Mason knew this a century ago and built her method around narration. This practice of telling back what you've read in your own words is the single best test of real comprehension we have ever found.

Inflexible school calendars
Term-time travel is basically forbidden by the schools and is expensive even if you do get permission so holidays are basically dictated by an industrial calendar nobody chose. Our membership lets families learn at their own rhythm, pause for half terms, start a week early , pick up where you left off and travel when it actually makes sense for your family.

Parents are not involved in their own children's learning
Traditionally, the school does its work and the parent receives the report. With our community, we want to put the parent back at the centre of it but instead of replacing the school, we give you a method, a curriculum and a community for the hours that belong to you. Even thirty minutes of real reading aloud changes a family.

The curriculum
A complete Charlotte Mason year you can adapt for your family. We curate the book lists and timetable and pre-built lesson plans by subject so you can open on a Monday morning and teach even without prep. Tick off lessons as you go and pick up where you left off.

The community
A private circle of parents walking the same road as you: home educators and school families together. Monthly Zoom circle and community exclusive events. Regional family clusters of nearby families for park days and in-person meetups.

The training
Bite-sized parent training so you understand the method and not just the materials. Narration, reading aloud, choosing living books and building rhythm even while you're folding laundry. Twenty minutes is enough to change your week.
about us -
Why we are building this
We are a couple raising our two children and trying to do this work as honestly as we can. We home educate, we work, we travel and sometimes we have terrible weeks. Our home looks like yours.
We began BondBetwixt.com because we needed it. The Charlotte Mason resources we've found were mostly American, for Christians and mostly silent about the families who actually need help most, working parents trying to bond with their kids after school and home educators feeling overwhelmed and alone.
So we are building what was missing. A method that adapts honestly to modern life and a curriculum that doesn't punish you for being human with a community where both parents are welcome.
We are not gurus. We are two parents who have read carefully, thought hard and started building. We will write the lessons, host the events, run the calls and reply to the messages. This is not a platform with a hidden team. It is us, working alongside you.

Welcome week of lives calls with us!
Four evenings on Zoom together. Orientation, the Mason lesson, narration, building your own family rhythm so you're prepared and ready for Monday!
October
BB's first park meet up day
A relaxed meetup in London where children play and parents can talk and be with the community.
November
Cluster groups begin
Depending on where you are, we'll start matching you with three to five nearby families. Local meetups, organised by you but will be supported by the community.
December
The winter event
Optional in-person day for families who can travel. A picnic, handicrafts, nature study to end the first term and end of the year.
Spring term
Term 2 lessons drop · new artists, new composer
A fresh term planner arrives. The rhythm continues, deeper now. The families around you are no longer strangers.
Summer term
Term 3 lessons drop & end of year portfolio gala
The last term planner arrives and you'll be an expert in the method that works foryou and your family. We'll also be organising an in-person family event when your child gets to share their favourite pieces of work and books for everyone to see and a chance to present their work and meet other homeschool families to end the school year!
